Hi, I’m Ivan.

Born in Swansea, 2001. . .

My creative journey has always been shaped by my surroundings through the quiet, persistent dialogue between the natural and the man-made world. Documenting our world, its fauna and our creations atop it all have become points of focus that I take within my practice, becoming an exciting experience of truly understanding my place within the world.

Growing up in the valleys of South West Wales, a deep connection to nature has been omnipresent in my life whether or not I’d ever realised it. I’ve long been fascinated by the way the land resists against our meddling; how roots press through concrete, how leaves emerge from forgotten corners, how the earth reclaims what we build.

I follow the life lesson that everyday is a school day, so understanding and truly experiencing each location I visit is a central element of my work.

Taking the time to truly exist within my surroundings is vital in being able to capture every small detail that the world is trying to share.

To some, a moment spent still quickly becomes the feeling of new opportunities being lost.

Yet I find that there’s peace in watching the world go by,

letting life open up to you. . .

and participating in the art of simply just

being present.

So take a moment.

Stop by.

Enjoy the world

as I have.
